Poll: 11% credit Romney with saving the American Auto Industry

Public Policy Polling for Daily Kos & SEIU. Registered voters. MoE: ±3.1%:

Do you believe Mitt Romney deserves a lot of credit for saving the American auto industry, or not?
He deserves a lot of credit: 11
He does not: 69
Not sure: 19

Last week, Mitt Romney said he deserves a round of applause for saving the American auto industry. "I'll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry has come back," he said.
But as you can see from the results above, Americans overwhelmingly reject his view. According to the latest Daily Kos/SEIU State of the Nation poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, just 11 percent of Americans believe Mitt Romney deserves "a lot of credit" for saving the auto industry, while 69 percent say he does not.

This was one of those rare political questions on which there is across-the-board unanimity: Even a majority of Republicans and conservatives say Romney does not deserve credit for bringing back the auto industry. Still, 22 percent of tea party supporters, 20 percent of Republicans and 19 percent of conservatives did give him credit, which raises the question: What are they smoking, and where did they get it?

11% of the general public. But, those stats are interesting. Not much difference at all between Tea Part, Conservatives, and Republicans. Which is kinda funny because I have seen a lot of people mainly conservatives try to distance themselves from the other two groups.

we already knew Mitt gave himself credit, and his spokesman did, and John McCain did, now we know his extended family and a couple of other people believe it too.
