I read this comment on another website about Donald Trump. Do you agree?
Folks, we are looking at a Nazi sympathizer slowly emerging from the closet. White supremacy is stamped all over Trump's rhetoric. I invite all of you to research Hitler's initial body of rhetoric for yourselves.
Trump's attack upon the 14th amendment alone should send every right thinking American flying to register and vote against this American Hitler, in the making. I ask all minorities, without the protections of the 14th Amendment, what protection would you have from a president, who has the mindset of Hitler? If this man has the guts to call for the stripping of the rights and protections of some then he will have no compunction about doing it for any and all. And I have yet to come across anyone with Nazi leanings, who was Israeli/Jew friendly. Have you?
He will be the GOP nominee. He has already bullied his way into position to be the nominee by threatening a third party run, if he doesn't get his way. In the face of his threat, the Republican Party collapsed like a wet noodle. Pulling off the coup of the century on debate night, Trump is now bigger then the GOP. The other nine minor minions on stage on debate night were totally overwhelmed. Now devoid of principles, character and moral authority, the Republican Party, as we can see, is a push over for Trump to bully as does a fourteen year old in a sand box.
Hitler, did a lot of the identical things. Out the gate, Trump is talking about rounding up millions of human beings, re-establishing the "Berlin Wall" here in the US and depriving citizens of their citizenship and constitutional rights. Here we are standing by and doing and saying nothing.
Folks, this is how atrocities such as the holocaust happens. Pretty soon, Trump will be too big to fail! There was a time when Hitler reached that point and the German people said nothing. Some sixty million deaths later, people walked around in a foggy haze asking how and why did it happen. They had the power to stop it but didn't. Laziness and complancy were all it took. That's how. And, as is so ungodly and down right disgustingly typical, the religious(?) community is the most silent of all.

(33,688 posts)but a fascist is a fascist.
This klown is playing with something very dangerous. This country has never been collectively smart and it has become MUCH dumber in the last 45 years thanks to the dumbing-down effects of fundy religion and 24/7 corporate propaganda. I think it's safe to say that 40% of the populace are completely devoid of critical thinking skills and another 20% have only minimal CTS.
The Germany of the Nazi era was probably the most educated and scientifically advanced country on earth. We are, in comparison, largely idiots.

(15,189 posts)T-Rump WILL fail in time. It's still way early and he wishes the election were held today. That goes to show he can't do the long run. IMO he'll be gone by August of next year.

(7,911 posts)so many times when it in no way fit the facts that people have become deaf to it. It's the boy who cried wolf all over again. The right calls Obama Hitler, we called GW Bush and Karl Rove Hitler. People who disagree with us on forums become "Nazis", and so on. We even have "Soup Nazis" and "Grammar Nazis" which so dilute the term "Nazi" that it becomes meaningless. The accusation has become rendered useless by over use.
So no matter how true it might be to make that comparison in certain extreme cases, people will hear this and think, "Oh, it's just anther person calling someone Hitler again. Nothing to see here. And the next Hitler, and the next Nazi Party will slip into America unnoticed because nobody takes seriously what those words mean any more.

(2,985 posts)Another time, perhaps he would, but I think we now have the tools and numbers to stop the threat. Unless he cheats massively, he will not win a national election. It is practically impossible without 40% of the Latino vote.
