WICHITA — A Wichita State University mathematician says she’s not optimistic that she’ll win her lawsuit seeking ballot information so she can perform an audit of the 2014 election.

Beth Clarkson is suing Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman. She says she identified anomalies with election results in Sedgwick County and wants to audit them, The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/1E8AnnU) reported.

Clarkson filed an unsuccessful suit in 2012 and told supporters in an Aug. 19 newsletter that several lawyers have told her that she would lose her case this time, too.

“Those who aren’t so definitive don’t seem particularly optimistic,” she wrote. “So far, I’ve been of the opinion that I can lose just as easily all by myself, so I’m still acting as my own attorney.”

but Kobach will never turn it over. If it still exists and that is a BIG if. These guys are doing pretty much what they want to do and using what is left of our tax money to defend their screwing us over.

More power to her but this is a closed system. They have even stopped putting out info that has always been available for citizens to judge the health of our state. Their excuse? People did not understand it and just used it to make them look bad.

There is no info there I fear.

and even DU could not give a flying F about Kansas unless they use them to compare their wonderful selves to.

How many replies did you get? Where did it come from?

Occasionally something will get a bunch of replies but you can count that 90% are insults and people counseling you on how stupid you are if you don't move.

The good part of that is that they will most likely choose other places to live when their area becomes uninhabitable. Therefore I can remain the last years of my life in harmony with nature and the land of my ancestors. Hopefully I am far enough out that the rest of the mess does not get here very soon.

In the news for a moment, it will not even get more than that when we rename the place Kochback, USA yeehaw!

Thanks for posting about my state and managing to do it without calling us a bunch of rubes in the process!

I think we may be getting some good control over the lame assed party here finally. It has been such a sad, please don't hit me again, type of a party. I am not even sure the "big boys" wanted to win.

It may take us a while but I see some encouraging signs and stirrings.

I am involved in the margins and that is where I think I can do the best.
