Ted Cruz was recently confronted by actress Ellen Page over his stance on LGBT rights and religious freedom, and the Texas senator is now warning against "liberal fascism and intolerance" and the "persecution" of Christians.

(10,499 posts)He does the, "country founded of religion" argument instead of what it is, "Separation of Church and State." It's total pandering to the Christian Right and more about discrimination of the LGBT community than any so-called religious freedom.

(20,933 posts)that the democrats don't frame the discussion this way every single time is beyond me. Who the * thinks Ted Cruz is an authority on religion or... anything for that matter. Ellen Page isn't forcing people to accept LGBT in their church, she's forcing Ted Cruz to acknowledge Ted Cruz is fine persecuting them in order to obtain power. The concept of who is getting persecuted is pretty easy to understand.
