A month ago, Trump was sitting at 30% and in first place in Wisconsin.
A recent poll showed Ted Cruz had gained 21 percentage points and was about 10 points ahead of Donald Trump, who was still sitting at 30%? Kasich had also gained double digits in the latest poll.
What does it show when Trump did not gain even one point in the latest poll, even though several candidates had dropped out of the race? Does he top out at about 30%, the Tea Party voters of the Republican Party?
What is the explanation?

(26,060 posts)If it's the poll I'm thinking of (recently released with cruz up 10), then the margin of error was 5.8. Any statistician will tell you it's a worthless poll with a MOE that high. Anything over 4 is suspect. But all else being equal, Donnie has a floor and a ceiling.
