Forrest Hall Task Force will reconvene Tuesday (TN)

MURFREESBORO - After three public meetings over five months and more than two hours of debate, the Forrest Hall Task Force hit a wall.

Unable to come to a consensus or take a vote Thursday night on what recommendation to make to MTSU President Sidney McPhee, the committee decided to reconvene again Tuesday at the Sam H. Ingram Building on Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

Amid national concern about Confederate symbols after a 2015 shooting at a predominantly black church in South Carolina, and with students protesting the name of Forrest Hall, MTSU's ROTC building, McPhee formed the group last fall to consider what action to take.
