This country won't be recognizable in 6 months.

I'm surprised the Markets haven't started to tank yet. I also fear we're heading towards a Great Depression the likes of which our grand parents could not have imagined.

The fabric of America is being torn by people who have a disdain for freedom, equality, compassion, and other ideals that this country was founded on and has always acted on.

This is an all out attack. Collaboration of any kind, must not be allowed or accepted by anyone on our side. Any Dem that does anything short of all out resisting, is complicit in this attack.

It goes back to our old friend Aleksander Dugin, whose strategy Bannon is currently executing to perfection. In his 1997 book Foundations of Geopolitics, Dugin wrote:

In the United States:

Russia should use its special forces within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."

Look around you. Is it happening?

Or we may be headed toward civil war. But it's fucking scary right now as it is. We are under attack.

I fully expect markets to start reacting soon. This is because isolationist policiies and trade wars will have a very negative impact on our global companies. They are holding on for now because of pending deregulation and tax cuts. But I do not think this is enough to compensate for. I am for one, staying in stable bonds for now.
I think that bank and energy stocks may go up.

The new global order will benefit only Putin's Russia. If you look into Bannon's interviews, the economy is not that important to him. It's about culture, "civic society", judeo-christian values;
This new direction is inherently anti-american. We are losing our nationsl character, our 'melting pot' foundation. We are transitioning from the world's most powerful and resilient society that values top talent to a mediocracy.

there SHOULD be overwhelming backlash if there are more curbs on immigration and granting VISAs. I don't see how it is possible politically, unless they pay everybody off with some deal, but how feasible is that?

7. Markets are unpredictable. They can stay irrational for a long, long time.

Most people who control large blocks of stock think they are above the law and can't be hurt by anything Trump might do. It'll take a while for reality to sink in, I think.

though psychologically they may feel some relief at ending immigration and curtailing other rights, because they are assholes.
