1982

If you were born in 1982, the first presidential vote you might have made (2000) was "stolen" by SCOTUS, and Bush, the lesser was installed..

You might have spent most of your 20's being embarrassed by the Buffoon-in-Chief, and may have had friends who came back from Iraq/Afghanistan maimed, psychologically different or not at all..

You spent your late teens/early-to mid twenties paying high gas prices, worrying about how you would pay off student loans, and good jobs were falling away precipitously every month.

Scarce jobs, rising prices, and Bush-fatigue were a big part of your life, and then came Obama..

Faith in our electoral system was briefly restored.

Now, for the 2nd time in THREE presidencies you may have participated in, the one with fewer votes ( and less capability) again assumed the presidency.

While Bush was incapable, screwy and barely understandable, Trump is vile, tasteless, and dangerously toxic.

Why would people be surprised at your anger and despair...and your willingness to protest?

The older Dems still in power (the ones who humored W, and who "worked with" republicans when they took over congress) should be paying close attention now, because the younger folks are pissed off and takin' names.

Collegiality in congress died in 2000, and apparently, not all the Congressional elders have noticed yet.

If they do not pay close attention to the progressive younger folks (and some of their rabble-rousing elders), they will be looking for work a lot sooner than they would like.
