A senior National Security Agency official says the National Security Agency is systematically holding back some of the “good stuff” from the White House, fearing Trump and his staff can’t keep secrets. This sounds like made-up news. The NSA is nothing if not very close-lipped about what the NSA does. I cannot imagine a senior official of that agency saying anything of this sort. It defies reason.

Now, the NSA may well be withholding information from the White House. That would not surprise me at all, but if they were, it would not be leaked to the media by anyone in the NSA. Therefore, I call this anonymous official bogus and the statement to be almost certainl false.

I was in the USAF at the time. That agency is the most insular group of people I have ever encountered. I cannot imagine a senior official at that agency ever saying anything remotely like what that story reported. It simply would not happen.

There's a lot of bullshit promulgated by news organizations. If they don't have the information, they make something up if it advances the story they're telling. Rawstory is not an organization I would trust completely in that regard, frankly.
