Gorsuch Ad

Anyone else been seeing the ad by "Judicial Crisis Network", with an Obama staff member promoting Gorsuch? Says she interned for him, and he was just fabulous. Has there ever been an ad for a Supreme Court nominee? You gotta hope they are running this because they feel he's shaky.

It's basically a bribe. A few million advertising dollars to buy silence.

Protection money. You won't see any channel airing those ads give any coverage to his record as a rightwing religious nut.

She worked in the Department of Justice, not in the White House- which is the impression she gives. It's misleading.

I've seen it a few times and presumably it's intended to pressure Sen Casey. It makes her sound like she was a clerk for Gorsuch, so interesting to know she was just a DoJ employee. If she was career civil service, she easily could be a republican.

I'm not sure how much effect this ad will have as we have judicial elections here, so people are used to seeing these kinds of political ads for judges.

Founded by a Clarence Thomas clerk, they're a vehicle for funneling dark money, and they have committed to spending $10 million to support Gorsuch.

To fill its own coffers, JCN has increasingly relied on funding—to the tune of nearly $4 million, according to IRS documents—from another non-disclosing group, the Wellspring Committee, that’s run by Corkery and was founded seven years ago with the help of conservative donors in the network led by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch.

No surprise to see the Koch brothers show up in the food chain here...

Odd, since our two Senators are Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar. I doubt they'll pay much attention to calls to vote for him.
