Anyone else been seeing the ad by "Judicial Crisis Network", with an Obama staff member promoting Gorsuch? Says she interned for him, and he was just fabulous. Has there ever been an ad for a Supreme Court nominee? You gotta hope they are running this because they feel he's shaky.

Protection money. You won't see any channel airing those ads give any coverage to his record as a rightwing religious nut.

(15,292 posts)I've seen it a few times and presumably it's intended to pressure Sen Casey. It makes her sound like she was a clerk for Gorsuch, so interesting to know she was just a DoJ employee. If she was career civil service, she easily could be a republican.
I'm not sure how much effect this ad will have as we have judicial elections here, so people are used to seeing these kinds of political ads for judges.

(6,279 posts)To fill its own coffers, JCN has increasingly relied on fundingto the tune of nearly $4 million, according to IRS documentsfrom another non-disclosing group, the Wellspring Committee, thats run by Corkery and was founded seven years ago with the help of conservative donors in the network led by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch.
No surprise to see the Koch brothers show up in the food chain here...

It really creeped me out.
