Is Pence already taking over the role of president?

He's on a European tour, including meeting with NATO, to reassure them that what Demented Don says/tweets means nothing. Just listen to the VP (soon to be president?), if you want to know what's REALLY going on. I'm getting this impression.

Trying to convince McConnell, Ryan, et. al. that he can perform the duties as a normal person would.

Not that we should let him slide here, or otherwise let down our guard as to what his policies will be if he becomes the next president, but I do think it naturally benefits him as the 46th President if his foreign policy is seen as less erratic and compromised than Trump.

Again, I'm not apologizing for Mike Pence here, but clearly there's a move--along with Mattis--to distance themselves in terms of foreign policy from the shitstorm that is Trump.

That's a lot.

Pence is also the less odious of the two, less likely to be barred entry or denied a welcome overseas.

Trump is busy hiding out from his job on the weekends, and probably most weekdays as well.

him to make Trump jealous - to appear smarter, etc. Look how Trump reacts to Swartznagger - he is overjoyed that Arnold is not as high in the ratings as he was. He does not want anybody to outshine him, and that would go double for Pence.

He absolutely knows what's going down. Pence will be #46, before 2018, imho.
