I was told an embedded tweet in a location where twitter is blocked shows as a blind link to a tweet. Since then I've been copy and pasting the text out of courtesy.

unless the source is allowed. I also try to do the same as you do.

The one instance that this is not an option is when there is a video in the tweet. For this, I try to make sure that I put this in my OP title: (video tweet), so that people don't waste their time if they can't see it in the post.

I run it, but I have Twitter on my whitelist, so I'd overlooked that being an issue for some here.

You can't be infected with a virus by clicking on a link to twitter.

If I wanted to see tweets I would go on twitter. If I wanted to watch TV I would turn it on or go to the video forum

I come here to read opinions, news pieces or editorials and discuss them.

There seems to be a dearth of in-depth discussion and comments here.

Short attention span of dialogue everywhere these days

Most of us know what's going on in "real" life. We want to get in depth analysis here.

Posts that contain nothing more than a link to a TV show or a Tweet are downright insulting. The same goes for blind links to news articles as well. If it's worth the time to post at all, then it's worth the time to include at least a brief description or excerpt.
