Bill Cosby Playboy sexual assault case to go ahead

The California Supreme Court rejected his petition to review the case brought by Judy Huth - meaning her lawyers can now question Mr Cosby under oath.

The 78-year-old is facing a string of sexual assault accusations dating back decades.

He has always maintained his innocence and has never been criminally charged.

Ms Huth alleges that Mr Cosby plied her with alcohol before sexually assaulting her.

Huth's lawyer, Gloria Allred, states the California Supreme Court's decision is a "major victory" and Allred also stated her plans to take a sworn deposition from the comedian within the next month.

and raped. But I suspect victims who've had such an experience will say it leaves more of an impression that what they ate for breakfast.

but evidence in a court of law is based on facts rather than impressions,
and defense attorneys would have a particularly abundant landscape exploring if
memories match facts, for example, what was someone wearing, what
color were the drapes. Once the memory is proven fallible, it casts doubt on
other events remembered.

Did the women take the drug willingly? Or were they given the drug without their knowledge? And if they were given the drug without their knowledge, Mr. Cosby should explain why.

In many states, introduction of matching DNA evidence allows the case to be opened after the SOL has run out.

This was 40 years ago, and unless there are witnesses, camera footage, or some other evidence, i don't see how she can prevail. All the other victims will be barred from testifying because it's prejudicial and not a proven legal fact.

these women are at a stage in life when they can no longer be blackballed from working, from getting husbands, etc. if they speak out because their careers are long over anyway

justice will never prevail, justice delayed IS justice denied, the fact that this man lived most of his life as a wealthy & respected man will not be erased

but it's the same argument hunting down nazis, yeah, i understand ww2 was in the forties and they've moved on but you know what? the victims never move on

give the women who still survive some peace and some evidence at least that crosby had at least one troubled night because of what he did to them

17. I am all for her trying to get justice. Rape is a terrible crime, and i would never begrudge anyone

seeking redress. I just think she has a tough ahead.
