Obama: Iran Deal Builds On Diplomacy That Won Cold War

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama launched a blistering denunciation of opposition to his Iran deal Wednesday, arguing that none of the criticism stands up to scrutiny and warning that if Congress blocks the accord it will put the U.S. on the path to another Middle East war.
"The choice we face is ultimately between diplomacy and some form of war," Obama said in an address at American University. "Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not three months from now, but soon."
Seeking to isolate his critics, Obama said the rest of the world supports the Iran accord, with the notable exception of Israel. He reaffirmed his support for Israel's security and said he doesn't doubt the sincerity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one of the fiercest opponents of the agreement.
But he said of Netanyahu, "I believe he is wrong."

Obama Notes Israel Is Only Country Opposing Iran Nuke Deal
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says every country that has commented on the Iran nuclear deal has supported it - except for Israel.
Obama is singling out Israel's government in a speech about the deal at American University. He's describing opponents of the deal as outliers and noting that the deal has support from non-proliferation experts and former ambassadors from both political parties.
Obama is also chiding critics who had opposed his interim nuclear deal, but who now say it's better than the final deal. He says thwarting the nuclear deal will actually accelerate Iran's race for a nuclear weapon.

(23,946 posts)Jaw dropping oratory and persuasion.....the same old "pundits" will say the same old things supporting the same old tired and failed policy of War is Peace, using the same tired propaganda.
John Bolton gets an op-Ed in the NYT to argue that America should simply repeat the mistakes he and his criminal cabal of self-serving, heartless war criminals made in Iraq....Obama just said to the fucking and boringly repetitive warmongers...WTF, children, how did you get out of detention so soon?
Ignore the fucking "news" and "pundits", same fuckers with new faces spouting the same messed up lies for the same messed up reasons to create just another mess, because that is what infants do, they can not help it, it is all they got.

There is nothing wrong with fallowing suit as the cards fall-, same as every other country exception to Israel.

(15,460 posts)While there are many examples of atrocities committed by various nation/states in the Middle East over the last 100 years, Israel has always had its own brand of self-righteous atrocities. Since 1947 they've had to fight for their British/US/UN-dictated homeland while dispossessing and killing anyone that didn't like their Homeland Security.
I don't expect the current government in Israel to do anything to resolve these issues. They would much rather engage in the typical say-one-thing, do-the-other. Bazaar mentality.
