Nordstrom has decided to stop carrying Ivanka Trump's brand, the retailer told Business Insider on Thursday.
The company said the brand's declining sales led to its decision.
"Each year we cut about 10% [of brands carried] and refresh our assortment with about the same amount," a Nordstrom spokesperson told Business Insider. "In this case, based on the brands performance weve decided not to buy it for this season."
Nordstrom's decision comes amid calls for a boycott against retailers that carry Trump products. .....................

(15,412 posts)I wrote them and told them I wouldn't shop there again. Now I will again, they have a great brand of shirt. I've worn nothing else for 15 years. Foxcroft 100% cotton and it does not wrinkle!

(5,803 posts)Oh wait, the 'pukes have been decimating the middle & working classes for decades...that's why his dimwitted adherents can't afford her junk.
To be fair to Ms. I, she probably figures that after Darth Cheney and the no-bid contracts for Iraq + all the other grifts the 'pukes have gotten away with, she could grift off daddy's coattails and no one would notice.

(28,088 posts)I was at Macy's shopping for a winter coat last fall (before the election).
A clerk came up to see if she could help and when I said I was looking for a coat she immediately pointed out one from the "Ivanka Trump Collection" to me. I just gave her "a look" over the top of my glasses and she said to me "We can't give those away."
To be fair, it was not a bad looking coat but it was not what I was looking for and, most importantly, it was part of the "Ivanka Trump Collection".
I should have known something was up when the clerk came over to see if I needed help because, besides at the cosmetics collection when was the last time a clerk at Macy's offered personal service? They must have been told to push Ivanka's crap.

(416 posts)Ivanka made some serious bank off of it.
And if you want to poke at "Bernie Busters" about the past election, why didn't we get to hear or read the transcripts of Hillary's speeches to Wall Street. That sarcastic saw can cut both ways. And be realistic, both Bernier and Hillary are too old for the next POTUS run.
We need to take this to the street and get some new blood at the top.

(81,546 posts)Calls for a boycott against retailers that carry Trump products - is one great reason.
But THIS part: The company said the brand's declining sales led to its decision. THIS part is pure ecstasy!
Declining sales for poor widdle Ivanka!?! Boo-hoo? Nah! WOOHOOO!!!

(10,137 posts)I don't relish in her losses because she has a crazy, fascist father and her last name is Trump. Of all of the Trump kids, she seems to be the most decent. That may not be saying much, but I have a daughter and my mistakes are not her's. I know, I know she is riding shotgun and probably acting as first lady - which is beyond just unseemly - but girls love their dads.

She's an awful, lying grifter - with a surgically enhanced "pretty face." Dangerous. "She seems the most decent"? Okay, fooled you and a bunch of others. That's all part of their evil plan.
Get woke and stay there.

(20,998 posts)...they should be corrected immediately. Ivanka and her Svengali husband are major tRump* enablers. She is supposedly a very smart woman. Daughter or not, she knows her father shouldn't be anywhere near the Oval Office.
Fuck Ivanka tRump*! Fuck Jared Kushner*! I hope history mauls the shit out of them.
Thank you!
I Hear you. However, I am really starting to focus on how I was fooled by our feckless Democratic Party this past season. I've been woken up alright, but it was by a slap in the face as to how shitty and spineless my elected officials really are. And they have a big D behind their name. They are as big a grifter as she is I hate to tell you.
Your point about being an active participant in this treason is well taken. I agree and concede the point.

(10,137 posts)Never followed or voted for Bernie. Voted HRC in primary and general. Knocked on doors AGAIN for HRC. I'm just a realist. The unreal part is your refusal to see why we have lost on every level of government across the country. It is a distinct failure of the Democratic Party and its leadership. What's unreal is your inability to stare in the mirror and call weak spade a weak spade. Weak democrats lost the elections - plural. Everywhere. Did the Russians do that? Did Bernie do that? Did Jill Stein do that? Did a strong Democratic Party have their SCOTUS robbed from them or did they get rid of the filibuster 6 MONTHS into the process and meekly give it away-thinking the whole time they had it sewn up? How's that going to work out now for you Harry? They are the same in that they are bought and paid for by corporations. Take an inventory for f sake. But rather I'd guess you'll be pining away waiting for Hillary and Bill's next date night pic or her new book to reveal her deep '16 reflection to give you closure. That's the "lol" of it.

(22 posts)The alt-right pro-Trump hate-filled tabloids that all of us grocery shoppers have to look at when standing in the checkout lanes need to go. Please sign our Move On petition:
done is post a petition on Move On.
http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-selling-hate-filled?source=c.fwd&r_by=17478167
And here is a link to an article from Politico that lays it all out about the damage the tabloids do. If you don't want to read the whole article, please at least read this one paragraph from it:
"Its easy to imagine that tabloids dont matter; the Enquirer is a relatively small voice in the media kingdom, with a weekly circulation of only 342,071, down from the 5.9 million it commanded in the 1970s. But that misses the importance of the constant cultural background noise it adds to American life: There are 37,000 supermarkets in America, with an average of about 10 checkout stands each, and many stands feature a wire rack displaying the Enquirer, the Globe, often the companys other tab, the National Examiner, and celebrity magazines. According to an industry study, American households make an average of 1.5 trips to the supermarket each week. Every customer passes by the checkout stand, which means that even people who never purchase a tabloid still absorb the ambient headlines, and those headlines can shape their view of the world."
