Grand jury dismisses felony assault charges against 2 Buffalo police officers who pushed 75-year-old
Source: CNN
Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe each faced a felony second-degree assault charge in Martin Gugino's fall, which fractured his skull and left him unable to walk at the time, according to an attorney for Gugino. They had pleaded not guilty.
Both officers were suspended from the police force after the June 4 incident, which happened at a protest against racism and police brutality. They remain suspended pending the outcome of the internal affairs investigation, the department said Thursday.
While Flynn said the grand jury proceedings are secret and he cannot disclose details, he said he did everything possible to bring a strong case.

(9,998 posts)Having spent my 55 years hearing my parents tell me how great it is, and how lucky I am to live in America.
But I truly look at the reality, and see all their words as complete BS.
We've always been a Shithole country, and probably always will be. It's just the way it is. Our history shows it, and to think the tide is turning, just makes no sense.
I had a moment back in November, and again when the GA races were called, when I felt a glimmer of hope. But it was a moment, and I've had many moments before and since, where I realize that nothing has changed. We are what we are, and always will be.
I am totally ashamed to be an American. Again and Again and Again and.....

(417 posts)America has played a large part of many problems throughout the world. I have felt the same way for many, many years.
In truth its not just America, theres evilness, hatred, greed, throughout the world and I dont get it. I often ask what is the purpose of life when everything here is unfair and there are so many innocent people suffering.
I understand and agree with your emotions. We look at what is going on but things dont seem to change, no matter how much we try to do the right thing.
We have to keep our hearts open and not give up, they will not take away our hope.

How in the world do they not indict? It's all on film. There is no discussion. They did it. End of story.
