Labor secretary to states suing over Biden employer vaccine mandate: Read the rules
Source: McClatchy
WASHINGTON -- Labor Secretary Marty Walsh said Thursday that the federal government has every right to impose a vaccine requirement on private businesses to help with workplace safety.
State attorneys general who immediately announced lawsuits against the Biden administration over the workplace mandate should talk to employers in their state and fully read the rules, he said.
I think its unfortunate that at this moment so many states it just came out seven hours ago havent had a chance to talk to their employers in their states to see what they feel about this, Walsh said in an interview with McClatchy.
Several Republican-run states, including Florida, Texas and Missouri, said they planned to sue the administration over the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule, which requires businesses with more than 100 employees to make sure their workers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or test negative weekly and wear a mask. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, a Republican, has also said he would challenge the rule in court.

(3,421 posts)All they want to do is divide the people, continue feeding crap to their base which seems to eat everything these criminals throw at them without questioning, they just open their mouths like alligators would do...it is shameful that ignorance and stupidity prevail in such big numbers within our population, and even sadder that they are winning because those who know better are too civil to fight back with the appropriate rules. Like someone said once "You don't go into a knife fight with a bible."
This is real folks, things are moving from bad to worst, and many MAGA idiots who support the craziness will wake up one morning to find out they have cheered against their own interests and now find themselves slaves of a corrupt dictatorship brought by the republican party. They act as if this a sporting match where their team must win at all cost for a championship, rude awakening coming their way.

"They act as if this a sporting match where their team must win at all cost for a championship,"
check their FB or IG feeds (I know. This thread not about fb or ig) from five years ago. Sports, kids, family, vacations, dinners.
The real Hatriot MAGA GQP folks WERE NOT POLITICAL before the 2016 campaign. They weren't. They did listen to Limbaugh, though. Limbaugh got his start in .... wait for it... sports broadcasting. He was Royals announcer.
Is it any wonder a Con man conned his way to power by appealing to the lowest common denominator to attract the lowest information voters to RADICALIZE into political FANS. And Fans, as you know, is short for....Fanatics.
American Yeehaw-dists, Amercan Christo Fascists, MAGAts. They all see the world in black and white. and for them White makes right. Go Team!

(12,691 posts)Either get the shot or get tested weekly.
Getting tested doesnt "invade your body"
So in reality its not a "vaccine mandate" at all.
They should call it the "workplace safety" mandate

(6,897 posts)The precedent would crack the resistance to government sponsored, single payer healthcare. I'm shocked this hasn't already popped up on the TeeVee news. Of course that would require them to actually put 2 and 2 together which would take away valuable cell/face time.
