LONDON (AP) -- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson apologized Monday for lockdown-flouting parties in Downing Street -- but insisted that he and his government can be trusted.

Johnson told lawmakers in the House of Commons that he would make changes to the way the government is run in the wake of the "partygate" scandal.

"I get it and I will fix it," he said.

He spoke after senior civil servant Sue Gray found that gatherings by the prime minister and his staff when Britain was under coronavirus restrictions represent a "serious failure" to observe the standards expected of government.

The (regular) people from the UK I've seen talking about him online say that he's not likely to politically survive for much longer; they were speculating a few months, tops. Now that this report has come out, my guess is that it will just accelerate his downfall.

His comeuppance will be well deserved, too. This clown was a "remainer" when the Brexit campaign was going on. He switched to being a "Brexiteer", jumping on the bandwagon fully when he saw that he could take it over from the shit talker and conman, Nigel Farrage. Then, he helped to undermine Theresa May so as to further his own, lifelong political ambition to become PM.
