Kyiv mayor says metro service, water supply back after Russian strikes
Source: Reuters
The mayor of Ukraine's capital said early Saturday the city's metro system was back in service and that all residents had been reconnected to water supply a day after the latest wave of Russian air strikes on critical infrastructure.
Ukrainian officials said Russia fired more than 70 missiles on Friday in one of its biggest attacks since the Kremlin's Feb. 24 invasion, forcing emergency blackouts nationwide.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also said heating had been restored to half the city and electricity had been returned to two-thirds.

(32,866 posts)Metro service and water supply - two things we all take for granted, until they're gone. Kyiv and Ukraine have suffered so much this year, and we must show solidarity with their losses.
It won't be long now, Russia cannot keep this up much longer.
America is with Ukraine! The entire Western World is with Ukraine!

He's now a permanent resident there and has visited places like Bucha and Irpin right after liberation as well as raised a lot of money for NGOs active in Ukraine. Kinda makes me want to pour molasses into the gas tanks of every Russian military vehicle out there. Maybe that will occur to the conscripts at some point, gum up the works enough they won't have to go.
