Jan. 6 participant arrested after hourslong standoff with the FBI
Source: NBC News
The FBI arrested Eric Christie on Thursday after several hours in which he refused to cooperate with authorities after they arrived at a home in Sherman Oaks, California. Two law enforcement officials confirmed his arrest.
Online sleuths had identified Christie as a Jan. 6 participant, and images show him on top of a law enforcement vehicle on the east side of the Capitol, wrapped in rainbow flag and with what appears to be a hammer hanging from his belt. The law enforcement activity took place at an address associated with an Eric Christie.
Christie was previously named by a defense attorney in another Jan. 6 case, in which the court filing suggested he was a "suspicious actor" and questioned why he hadn't been arrested yet. He was publicly identified by the anti-fascist activist and security researcher Chad Loder in February 2021.

(36,209 posts)The courts and DOJ are trying to keep up with arrests, so this one's another added to the long list of those charged.
per Sedition Tracker -- https://seditiontracker.com -- which records each legal activity within 24 hours, including PDF's of documents.
Sentenced = 356
Convicted = 527
Indicted = 408
Charged = 929
No names convicted are on the sentenced list, so we're talking 883 separate individuals ruled guilty and sentenced, averaging 8.7 per week (883 divided by 102 weeks) since Jan 6 2021.
No names on the charged list are on the indicted list, so that makes 1,337 waiting for their "due process."

Only 408 of those charged were indicted? And, 527 convictions with only 408 indictments. Is this 408 what is left to try? Are these numbers cumulative?
Just wondering. I'm getting a 404 error when I click the link. It takes me to Sedition Tracker, but "404 - Page Not Found ". That's why the questions.

(36,209 posts)Yes, the 408 are left to try. Maybe with or without juries.
Note that the conviction names are not the indictment names. They're two separate populations and are not cumulative.
Here's the link. https://seditiontracker.com
Then hit the upper right blue icon and click on "status" to get the numbers. Note that as you scroll down the list from "Sentenced" to "Charged", the names are not overlapping. The tracking isn't about each person's point in the process -- no trial dates, jury selection dates, trial delays, postponements or other lawyer requests -- just about the 3 major decision points -- charging, conviction, sentencing.
I'll update the link in my post.

(65,361 posts)Despite the elapsed time, that's a pretty good conviction rate with that many left to indict & try.
And, the arrested 3 more in the last few days.
Oh, and the link works for me now.
Thanks

(36,209 posts)It's interesting to hit the links to see the lists of charges, read the charging and other documents, and where they're from, etc. It gives a better idea of what anti-government, pro-trumpers are like, out of the 74 million who voted and who they might be part of.
Enjoy your holidays.
