Africa is being ignored, except by the Pentagon, China sweeps into the vacuum with massive foreign aid.
If you were an African, wouldnt you also play both sides and extract what you can from the former colonialists, and anyone else willing to help

(152,179 posts)Glad to see her series of visits to the continent given that due to the size of the continent with land that spans both sides of the equator (and that boasts a myriad of climate types), it is more sensitive to climate change than other continents. From what I understand, VP Harris' grandfather was a government official in India who had served part of his career in Zambia (and even took her along for a trip there when she was little).
