Judge Gags Trump After Ex-President Attacks His Law Clerk

Source: The Messenger

New York judge gagged former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, after he attacked his clerk by name and shared her image on social media.

“Personal attacks on members on my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate, and I won't tolerate it [in my courtroom],” said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron.

He added later to "consider this a gag order for all parties from posting about any members of my staff."

Shortly before the lunch recess, Trump circulated a false rumor about Engoron’s clerk, which traces its origins to a now-shuttered satirical website.

Nothing deters Trump from doing whatever he wants to do. Unless he's actually jailed, I don't see how this matters.

Trump doesn't believe they can touch him until they do it. His world is starting to cave in around him. It's like he's tied to the train tracks, and he can hear the train getting closer and closer and he can't do anything about it except rail to the high heavens.

And of course it remains to be seen how enforcement will play out, if by any chance the defendant's zip-it function is no longer functional.

It’s more than about time for the judges running these trials to take this guy to task. Basically, since he’s a private citizen, who in the fuck does this guy think he is now. He’s just like the rest of us, a private citizen, nothing more and nothing less. The days when he was the president are long gone, and hopefully never to be seen again by this worthless excuse for a leader.

But for Trump to attack the law clerk, who is not in a position to fight back, goes too far. I'm glad Judge Engoron cracked down on Trump's criminal threats and warned he's see the inside of Riker's if he keeps running his mouth.

He already will owe so much money he'll figure shit, what's the difference, this is fun! Of course, I think fines for legal violations take precedence over most others so that would maybe be first in what may end up being a long line of judgements against him.

Trumpo doesn't have a whole lot of ready cash I don't think as he's probably blown through most of what he managed to trick others into loaning him to finance his lavish lifestyle and smoke and mirrors assets.

No, he doesn't.

Now let's see if the judge throws him in jail for contempt of court when he inevitably violates this limited gag order.

The order came after Trump blasted Engoron’s law clerk on social media earlier Tuesday, and then amplified the attack in brief remarks to reporters during the lunch break.

Trump had posted on Truth Social a different user’s tweet of an Instagram post showing the law clerk at an event where she posed with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. The posting on X, the former Twitter, questioned why she was “palling around” with Schumer.

Trump’s post went further, referring to the clerk as “Schumer’s girlfriend” and said she “is running this case against me. How disgraceful! This case should be dismissed immediately.”https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/judge-orders-trump-delete-disparaging-post-law-clerk-threatens-sanctio-rcna118667
