A second lawyer for Rudy Giuliani is seeking to depart his legal team in Georgia, sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News, a move that would appear to leave the former New York City mayor without any local lawyers in the state.
A motion to withdraw has been submitted to the clerk, the sources said. A judge in the case has to sign off on the motion.
News of the move comes after several other former attorneys of the Trump ally have sued Giuliani for failure to pay his bills, including his longtime friend and attorney Bob Costello, who sued Giuliani for over $1 million in payments due to his firm.
Earlier, an additional lawyer for Giuliani in Georgia, David Wolfe, submitted his own motion to withdraw from his representation of Giuliani.

(6,284 posts)That Trump held for Giuliani?
I guess they didn't raise enough.
Giuliani ought to just do a plea deal and spill his guts.

(10,640 posts)But with his troubles with the NY & DC bar suspensions, Rudy probably can't.
He's already violated their decrees with his media opinions on GA RICO ...
As for cutting a deal, Fani has already done that with most of the fake electors.
The balance of fake electors then turned on Trump.
Cutting a deal seems to make a bunch of sense under Rudy's financial and legal circumstances.
But his credibility would be a big liability.
And, he's probably one of the big fish Fani would like to nail.
The pressure is on because after one or two more flips which Fani is allegedly lobbying for, the deals offered won't be so hot.
Rudy's buddy Trump has lost financial control of his NY businesses while is campaign is out of cash due to all the legal fees he's racking up.
And Rudy hasn't even got a lawyer to represent him on making a potential deal ...
Justice (or Karma) is being done here to some extent ....

(25,707 posts)That was also the case when he was "advising" Trump regarding the"stolen election." Apparently the prosecution may use this as evidence against Trump for relying on using someone he knew was incapacitated as cover for his illegal decisions.

But what can anyone do for him?
