Its already like that in a lot of fields.
Also, services liberalization will drastically reduce the skilled professionals entry level's wages between now and then and dramatically increase the rate of adoption of automation,. thats a huge mistake.

(131,296 posts)looks like we ALL could use a new paradigm, like Canada's:
Looks like 'wealth,' or at least compensation/income will have to be rethought.
Maybe something like Canada's new approach? Ontario, Canada announced a plan to test Universal Basic Income for all citizens.

(4,667 posts)People should be aware, nothing comes for nothing, schemes like that are likely to lead to genocide. People will become profoundly out of touch with society if they are excluded from education, health care etc.
But thats I am sure what will be demanded.

(17,230 posts)Some of us have seen this coming since the Sixties. (and doubtless some have seen it coming even longer, what can I say, I wasn't alive then)
Among the many social problems staring at us square in the face is that we have already reached a point where everybody need not work. Well, it would be staring us in the face if we didn't have our heads buried in the sand. And the implications of that are mind-boggling, so it is not unexpected that minds are boggled. Fortunately, we may destroy the earth and everything on it through one means or another before we actually have to deal with the problem. Since I'm a pessimist, I expect there will be oceans of blood shed before we adjust to the new circumstances. Because "let 'em die" is always the first resort of those who have to deal with large masses of inconvenient people.
