What gets me is there was no national reporting of this huge bust in the national press.
Did we see anything on the major networks; NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC CNN? I didn't did you? How about the major newspapers?
I gooled "huge fentanyl drug bust. Absolutely nothing came up.

This is huge news and should have been widely reported. Instead nada, nothing.

Vashon is a 15 minute ferry ride from Tacoma. I used to think it was a safe little island...I suppose it is in the larger scheme of things. I used to live in Tacoma, and one of my daughters just moved back to the island from Tacoma because the crime seems to be out of control in some areas.

Moved from Vashon to Tacoma, then back. We loved it there and still do. We will only shop over town in Tacoma. It's a beautiful city, with wonderful restaurants, etc. Just don't go to Hilltop if possible.

Here on Vashon, we've lost several youths to Fentanyl. Two I know. One died from it, and one has lost her child, and is succumbing to it yet again after being detoxed several times. I knew her as a young girl. The young man was only about 30 or so. I love/loved them both.

I've just posted it on FB and asked that people share it.

There are 50 states with field offices involved in drugs/guns trafficking investigations and arrests. It's probably understandable that editors' decisions are likely market based and biased. But if we want MSM to pick up this huge news, we'll probably have to try to repost it on social media so they receive it on their feeds, and then decide to give it coverage.

that they moved on from meth and into fentanyl. The reagents for meth were getting more risky to obtain, but fentanyl is so potent that it's really easy to conceal and ship from China through the Mexican cartels to gangs in the US.

Every street drug is now turning up with fentanyl contamination, even cocaine.

The major news media are hobbled by the corporate parent company. They're not going to report anything that disparages the sainted right wing.

I wonder and have for a while if the explosion of opioid availability and subsequent abuse isn't also what brought some magats out from under their rocks. I am not a medical professional but a quick search turns up the following.
