So, basically this is a NON issue and only a made-up controversy by the right-wingers.

...Whats this got to do with the video..nothing..Its just that these corporate Teabaggers just keep digging up this bullshit trying to make an issue out of nothing...and go on programs like Pierce Morgan and try and voice their case and this A hole actually goes along with them.

Election is 8 months away
Voters have the attention span of a gnat with ADHD
I'm sure the republican president candidate will try to bring this up again and make it stick - like with Jeremiah Wright and Weather Underground, two 'issues' that were unearthed during the primaries. When Sarah Palin tried her 'Pal-ing around with Terra-ists' the voters grew bored with her.
If there was an issue there they should have held it until about a month before the election. That's how the Swiftboating hurt Kerry. That's how that photo of Michael Dukakis in the Army helmet hurt him.
And btw, it's also why the Rush Limbaugh/Slut saga will be a non-issue by election day too.

How disappointing it must be for the Freepers that this video turned out to be the Al Capone's Vault of Hannity segments.

(38,613 posts)If not (and seriously, what could it have that would be so damaging?) then the most they can do with this is to continue their whining over how the professor is "tied to Jeremiah Wright" and somehow parlay that into something that would hurt Obama so badly he would order the CIA to kill Breitbart with a super-secret dissolving poison dart to prevent the footage from ever being aired.
Did I get that right?

(23,589 posts)Oh the humanity Obama hugged the professor. It is the end of the free world I tell you.
(I think that's what I'm supposed to be freaking out about. I'm not sure why.)
Old and In the Way
(37,540 posts)I would be insulted that a PR campaign to whip up Obama outrage and hysteria with "blockbuster evidence" turns out to be an old videotape of a young Barack Obama speaking at a rally for diversity and tenureship at Harvard Law School. But I guess you need to have self-awareness to understand how the average Fox listener/Rush dittohead is being yanked like a yo-yo by political operatives.
What I found interesting is how Obama's oratory style hasn't changed at all from 20+ years ago. It's illuminating that, even then, the man could speak extemporaneously with intelligence and compassion about fairness and justice issues. If anything, this simply reaffirms President's Obama's leadership skills. Not sure this is going to have the intended effect the Republican marketing machine was hoping for.

He was a hack who pandered to the basest of the base.
He made millions doing it so he may have been an asshat and an all around douchebag but it doesn't make him stupid.
The people who fall for his style of "journalism", however... dumb as tacks.

(14,093 posts)Sean is always trying to hold people responsible for every word and deed of someone they came into contact with, but let's not forget that Mr. Hannity has a long history and friendship with self-declared white nationalist, would-be domestic terrorist and convicted felon Hal Turner.
Sean has also used his FOX show to host self-declared anti-semite Andy Martin.
If Hannity's going to play this guilt-by-association game, then Turner and Martin should be mentioned and linked with his name in all discussions.
