Yep, it's right wing. It's not Mr. Frothy insane. It's more Protect the Rich Romney right wing. nt valerief Mar 2012 #12

They tow the line for the 1%, unlike animated shows like The Family Guy that really don't seem care about who they offend.

I would hardly call what they did to McCain (the "I'm John McCain and I approved this message" sketch) and Sarah Palin, cowardly. When they hit the nail on the head (and they don't do it as often as they should) it resonates in a BIG way.

Tina Fey had a big role in exposing Sarah Palin for what she was, or wasn't, in the last general election.

Limba doesn't even have advertisers, he broadcasts dead air because at least 98 have left his damn show as of today.

is neither right or left, but plays to the full general audience?

That is my feeling of the show from it's inception on. Perhaps that is because of the fact that it has to pass by Lorne Michaels first.

Right wing Huh, OK I guess whatever floats your boats.

The conceit that he didn't know any of her catch phrases cracked me up. The joke that Tina Fey was sick and couldn't do the bit was a great way to let him do his terrible (on purpose) impression.

The Limbaugh bit sucked. They could have probably come up with funnier advertisers, but SNL writers seem to be pretty damn lame and lazy most of the time.

The only RW thing I know about SNL is that Lorne Michaels is a Rethug lover (although he's a Canadian, so not sure if he has dual citizenship) and he's a well-known dick. Dr. Evil was based on him remember.
