Can't any more. The aromas offend my co-workers.

I've been told to take my lunches/dinners to the "break room"--a room in the basement set aside for employees. Tables & chairs, vending machines, but no windows. Or computers.

I used to eat at my work space while perusing the news and DU on my computer. But not anymore. The aromas offend my co-workers.

only allowed me 30 minutes for lunch, while Execs took an hour.. and they were mostly liquid lunches. Nothing like the boss smelling of Vodka..after we sipped on soup from a cup either at our desk, or in some small crowded windowless cubicle set aside for us. I hated it.. No vacation days, few sick days, just slave at your desk for 8 hours..with a half hour lunch. No overtime paid, and worked weekends as well. Screw that noise, I left for something better.

People work longer hours in Japan they told me.. maybe so, but I bet they weren't chained to their desks, and the boss took them out for Sake on him, after hours.

… A little sad for an outpatient clinic in the middle of a world class health care delivery system.
