I don't believe in such a thing as an "independent". You would have to be pretty shallow in the " Values " department to switch back and forth year after year. I can see switching parties alot more than declaring yourself to be an "independent". How does an independent choose a candidate? By getting a copy of Consumer Reports and seeing who is the 'best deal' ?
If the Dems wanna win, they gotta get people to show up in November.

Lying about a candidate is the stupidest idea I've every heard. We listen to the right wing propaganda machine every day; do you want that from our side? I hate those lying jerks, but I hate the fact that people believe them even more. Most of their lies seem so obvious that I wonder if the whole process is broken from all the corruption ( Sorry, I meant "campaign funding" ). I mean, who could possibly believe that the GOP knows a goddam thing about creating a good economy? Of course, when I say " Economy ", I am talking about how the 99% is doing. When Repubs talk about the " Economy ", they are talking about how the wealthy people are doing.
Because they only represent the 1 % . They snuggle up to gun rights people and Religious Righters, because they cannot win if only the rich vote for them. They sure can't win with charisma!
I mean, just looking at Mitt Romney lowers your standard of living.....
