If you want to jump to 52:30 to see his quick intro, (you'll probably want to watch some of the clip in the very beginning to gauge a bit of the crowd) - but it looks like everyone lost their hearing that night from the ROAR!!!!! Reports of 20K capacity already reached, 10K more in line.

(48 posts)We were huddled outside in the cold drizzle, watching on a big screen of the inside stage. When, a mike a few hundred feet away, at an entrance of the arena came alive. And there he was, on the steps flanked by some very bulky secret servicemen, talking to the shivering but adulate crowd. Giving us a great speech before he even went inside to the thousands there, and gave another great speech.
Nothing could have shown that he cares about the people more. I broke into a few tears...
I'll bet he had to argue hard with Secret Service to get them to allow this impromptu act. Go Bernie!!

(3,424 posts)I love people who think of everyone and shows them he cares and appreciates them.
You know, I've been reading about him here and seeing the videos and I think that Bernie is a really good person.

(57,936 posts)run a non-profit for seniors and she actually called Bernie from time to time. He spoke to her and helped her to help the people she was working to help.
He is a real human being, not some sort of conceited politician who thinks he or she knows best. He listens to people and cares about people's needs.
We are so lucky to have the opportunity to elect Bernie Sanders as our president.
I am 72, and I was born when FDR was president. Bernie is the best man to run for president since FDR. Maybe he is even better than FDR. And that is saying a lot because Jimmy Carter as we have seen since he left the White House (especially since that time) is a wonderful, caring man also. But Bernie is just amazing.
I sure hope he wins the primary and the election in November. What a wonderful thing that would/will be for America.

(1,268 posts)I know inside was packed, but what about the line outside? I'm guessing it was longer than the one in Ill. 2 weeks ago. I'm sure he will be at Rose Garden when he comes to Portland.
If you want to see him there you may have to camp out the night before. Portland will rock when he hits the stage!

(24,010 posts)Sanders announced this at the start of his speech in Seattle. Recent poll. He said Utah hasn't voted for a Democrat in 50 years! But our REAL Democrat Bernie Sanders will win there!
That is amazing!
Loved watching this! My sister is probably in that enormous crowd.

(40,416 posts)Preferably, just his speech. 52 minutes of gatherings does not interest me when I have to pay for every download minute. Not everybody lives in an area where INet is available. Some of us still have to pay for every byte.
Hopefully, there will be a link to the speech that doesn't have 52:00 of dead air.
Now that I would sacrifice for.
