DON'T take kids to see Batman vs Superman! (one spoiler included, I guess)

Last edited Sat Mar 26, 2016, 08:14 PM - Edit history (1)

Saw it today. They blew up the freaking capitol building. That was bad enough. Then they ended it in a way that was unforgivable. There were three parents having to console 6 - 10 year old children that were crying when I walked out at the end.

Just wrong.

The entire last 20 minutes of it was a death match between Supe and a Kryptonian villain in which the two of them literally throw skyscrapers at each other and devastate Metropolis in the process. Truly ugly and totally disrespectful of the Superman legacy.

That demographic is more LION KING or FROZEN.

It ain't "Adam West as Batman" in those films!

The ONLY THING out of this that piqued my interest was Wonder Woman's presence. And yet I found it depressing that her film debut would be in such an obviously bad movie.

It's not worth the watch. If you like TDKR storyline, however... Watch the DC Animated Dark Knight Returns pts 1&2. EXCELLENT film. DC's live action films have been terrible lately, but they're animated films have been top notch. They're currently finishing up The Killing Joke, which should be released in June/July.

Not sure what the rating on this one was but it appears to be pretty violent and not for little ones- which I have semi-mixed feelings about.

I think that's a hard one for many parents. It can range so widely and many PG-13 movies, depending on the child, don't have much that would be a problem. Others are bordering on R- especially in terms of violence. I can sorta sympathize with parents thinking this one would be ok and finding it much more intense than expected- especially if a lot of that was in the ending and not earlier where they might have chosen to walk out.
