I thought it was the POTUS who aged, not We the People.
If we only had a real POTUS, and not a Pretender or a WannaBe Bannon.

(16,104 posts)Don't hold Propaganda Minister Con Way accountable about her lie regarding a fake massacre and her next lie that she misspoke.
They know the meaning of the word hypocrisy.
They are just partisan hack manipulative liars.

(28,350 posts)He let her run roughshod. You know how he holds some people's (Democrats) feet over the fire?
I think he's afraid of Kellyanne, and he shouldn't have let her spew her bullshit.
I gotta admit, she's one scary hombre, or is it hombra?
My belief is she intended the massacre to be a part of our history. Something for Trump's backwash voters to cite in their discussions amongst one another, then use as a "fact" with anyone who is unfamiliar with the truth.
I suspect she's got plenty of whoppers stored up.

(53,932 posts)just moved on. He completely missed it.
Should've said: "Wait, what? What massacre?", then busted her right on air.
Hell, even Chuck Toad didn't let her "alternate fact" spew get by him.
Tweety's losing his edge, maybe time for MSNBC to pull the plug. That would have never gotten by Joy Reid. And she's working without a contract as they hire FOX retread Van Susteren and the glamor girl racist Kelly, another ex-faux noise operative.
But MSNBC won't pull Matthew's as he's perfectly willing to shift to the right just as they're doing. That way they can put Conway on to do trump propaganda.
Every wonder why Conway has never been on against Joy? I'm betting Conway knows to stay a mile away from sitting down with Joy Reid.
PoindexterOglethorpe
(25,920 posts)and what I seriously wonder is if Mathews' was evening listening to what she said, or was just thinking about the next thing he'd say/question he'd ask.
I occasionally notice that behavior in an interview, which is a large part of why you don't get the kind of follow-up questions that you should hear. The interviewer has a script, and will follow it no matter what.

(28,350 posts)Sometimes the guest says something so profound that it's unbelievably stupid for the host not question, or at least ask the guest to elaborate on their statement.
Chris Mathews and Chris Hayes just don't know when to shut up. Hayes is smart, but he doesn't know everything, and has a problem of talking more than his guest. He needs to listen more and talk less.
I agree with you, the host doesn't seem to be listening, and/or is focused on their next question or, (and I hate when) they say, "moving on" ... arghhh ...
Imagine what news they could capture if they were good at their job.
The best is Joy Reid. She knows when NOT to talk, and let the guest make news, or she let's them dig themselves into a deeper hole. Just like she did with the Trump surrogate complaining, and then predicting Taco trucks on every corner! Oh, that was fun!

She did get the massacre thing by Chris Matthews but he's not so sharp anymore.
Twitter followers pick up on it though and howled, which is why everyone who wasn't watching knows.

(12 posts)As a gay man, I just can't seem to find any good reason to believe that immigrating large numbers of people
who are fanatical followers of a religion that has a principal tenet of punishment and even death for us
based on what we -are-, not even as a response to activities is a sane goal. This seems insane to me.
The most puzzling aspect of this issue is that many of the same people who advocate for equal rights for us
are in favor of increasing the population of those who want to kill us.
I really don't understand this, it's not as if there's any shortage of "christians" already in America
who would, if they thought they could get away with it, happily shove us back in the closet, lock the door
and pump in carbon monoxide. I see their hateful posts all the time in discussion boards.
What am I missing here?

(51,771 posts)They are just trying to get away from certain death in their home country. If they were fanatics bent on murdering gay people, they would not pass the rigorous 24-month screening process. Only 1% pass it. That is why no refugees we have accepted from any of the 7 countires in Trumps ban have ever killed an American in a terrorist act. They just want a safe place to raise their kids and live in peace.

(51,771 posts)By the way, many conservative Christians, including those in the US House of Representatives, like citing passages in the Bible saying homosexuals are "worthy of death." http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/bible-verse-homosexuals-heard-house-gop-prior-vote
Using religion to rationalize homophobia is hardly limited to muslims.

have an agenda?
FYI: Refugees from Syria and other countries from that region face an 18-24 month screening period by multiple investigative agencies, stiff background checks and interviews before they are allowed to come here.
We keep getting this crap about "letting terrorists in to the country" when the ones who are spreading those talking points, which are then regurgitated by people like you, know full well that immigrants coming from that region go through stiff screening.
Don't be so naive, or stop pretending to be.

Sandy Hook was absolutely a terror attack, and the fallout from those fucking assholes made it worse. Child murder is no joke.
