1. I think that if people don't understand this--

if they truly believe that one more piece of information, or witness testimony, or yes, even a signed confession was going to make ten more Republicans change their votes ... well, then they are simply as misguided as the people who thought blasting into the Capitol was going to change the election.

2. I couldn't agree more

Those who couldn't be bothered to pay attention to what was a well presented and compelling case weren't suddenly going to sit up and take notice no matter how compelling the additional evidence was. It reminded me of the first impeachment when so many Republicans engaged in distracting activities to make it obvious they weren't giving what was presented any attention - and I couldn't help thinking how much suffering in this country could have been avoided if only Trump had been removed then.

The Impeachment trial should have continued until the Mid-term Elections.
When the rethugs are bleeding and reeling and trying to defend the indefensible,
why in the Hell wouldn't we want to crush them over and over again?
Put every staffer, employee, and Democratic Representative and Senator on the stand
for several hours each, while fighting out the subpoenas for the Rethugs in court, all the while
claiming they are part of the "TREASON COVER-UP!!" and they "Attacked the Red White and Blue",
over and over again, until the red state knuckleheads are indoctrinated.
