2. Yes we can. I hear you about 'if.' Yet they don't mind their minds being managed by Microsoft.

I would never wait until people's minds were changed before advancing civilization -- if we did that, we'd never have gotten this far. As with every new massive problem, it's going to have to get solved without them, and they're going to have to catch up or remain clueless.

I've listened to Reverend William Barber's sermons the last two Sundays, and in most ways, I'd say he's the guy they need. He could talk them into accepting anything and anyone, he's that good a teacher. As for the rest of the world, there's a real mess to clean up and disaster to avoid.

Gates is a behind-the-scenes producer of problem solving projects, and like producers, he knows he doesn't get, want or need credit. He's got children like everyone else and just wants to ensure a future for his and all our descendants, so that they can take it from there.
