That struck me as the real tell here. What the hey is Anglo-Saxon architecture? Not Notre Dame Cathedral, not the Vatican, not even the palaces and classical government buildings of the U.K. The architecture there was “classical” or classically influenced, by which every educated person knows is meant Roman and Greek and Gothic.’

Marjorie’s notion of "Anglo-Saxon architecture" is the monstrosity of the Nazi vision of Berlin, plain and simple. It is huge buildings meant to dwarf the individual, not uplift him.

That or it’s wooden mead halls and temples to gods of the forest, structures with piss-trenches dug along one side of the interior where men -- and only men -- could relieve themselves during bouts of drinking and ceremonial worshipping. Maybe the modern upgrade of those buildings would include trenches for Marjorie and her fellow nazettes?
