They've been lied to but they're believing the lies. They're just like Trumpers; they lap up what's given to them

3. A few Russian troops have turned on their commanders. That's different from attacking Putin.

Put is isolated.

MY concern, Russian troops have evacuated much of Ukraine. I guess they are being trained for a spring attack. Current recruits will be added to those that were in retreat.

I expect a shitstorm by April.

society. They may be a force of inarticulate howling marginals, but they are no force to accomplish anything, particularly regime change in Russia. Putin may lose in Ukraine misadventure, but he still has a boot on Russia's neck.

Even if no regime change like 1918 , they are as you said ill equipped and winter conditions are brutal to even train in then add in to trying to save your hide.

History rinse and repeat like German army in first winter of 1941 although the German soldier were well trained.

... but it was trained and armed, and rearmed by the Central Powers when it surrendered and was sent home to Russia.

This current army is literally a winter army, sent to be human obstacles and ditch diggers under fire, with combat troops behind them to shoot them is they retreat, and a third line of political troops behind them to keep them all on the lines.

This is the Stalinist method, not the Czar's.
