Nor would the US be happy about it. Teasing the Russians to go nuclear is a bad idea, they seem pretty open to the concept.

Re-taking Crimea and Donbas has to be the limits of Ukrainian offensive ops. Going beyond that would cause NATO/US to cut off military support.
