Even Republicans Think Trump Is Half Assing His Latest Presidential Run - Ring of Fire

Donald Trump is still MIA with his latest presidential run, having not held a single one of his signature rallies and practically disappearing from conservative media. This has left many in the Republican to believe that he doesn't actually want to run again, he's basically only doing it out of habit and ego. Some have gone as far as to suggest that he's just going through the motions. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

It looks like even Republicans don't think that Donald Trump's heart is really in his third presidential run. Seeing, of course, is how he has basically disappeared from society ever since he announced that he was running for president again. But Politico recently got a hold of a couple of different Republicans in the Senate, and, uh, they had some very interesting things to say about their, their take on Donald Trump. Half-assing this latest presidential run. This is what Republican senator Kevin Kramer from North Dakota had to say. I'm still not convinced he's all in losing another election could be very damaging to his pride. It's all so unsettled. Okay, so you start off, you're like, listen, I don't even think the guy's all in totally agree with you there, right? Like, he hasn't done a rally, which is his signature, go-to move. Like, he can set up a rally like that.

They've been doing it for years. They know how to make it happen. They know the places to go. They know this is his bread and butter and they just haven't done it. Like, there's no reason for it not to have happened. He's just said, ah, I'm getting a little tired. And then Kramer's, second point, of course, like, uh, third loss, like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Or another election loss. Excuse me. Like, you're already conceding the point as well, that yeah, I think he's gonna lose. I, I, I think that's probably even a bigger takeaway than the fact that you think Donald Trump is just phoning it in right now. You're already resigning yourself to the fact that yeah, he's not gonna win and that's gonna hurt his ego very badly. I agree with you a hundred percent. It's just fun to hear it coming from a Republican, uh, Republican representative, Dan Crenshaw, uh, also said that he doesn't think that Trump running should exclude any other Republicans from jumping in too. He says Trump running shouldn't deter anybody else from running.

Interesting statement, especially considering the fact that the reason Trump wanted to announce his presidential bid so early was to prevent other Republicans from jumping in. Uh, so far. Of course, nobody else has formally declared their running for president on the Republican side, but none of the other Republicans that want to run for president ran away screaming and hiding that they've been out there doing events. They've taken a couple shots at Trump. Nobody was scared when Trump got into the ring. Here's another quote, by the way, from Kevin Kramer, I just have to read this. It's so fun. He's not an imminent or presumed nominee pe people are going to keep their powder dry. Do you know what that means? Kevin Kramer, after saying one, he's half-assing it. Two, he's not gonna win three. Nobody's even bothering to attack him right now because they don't view him as a threat.

That is the most important statement of all. None of these other Republicans out there. And by the way, I do agree with that based on the, the conduct we've seen from these people, none of them view him as a threat. We're just gonna keep our powder dry. Why are we gonna waste our time attacking you? When you are already tanking yourself, you're tanking yourself with who you have dinner with. You're tanking yourself by calling for the termination of the Constitution on social media. You're tanking yourself by not going out there and doing rallies.

I suspect Trump is trying to figure out how to best funnel his $100 million+ campaign war chest into his own pockets. DeSantis may have the lead now in MAGA circles, but the sad, harsh reality is that America remains sick enough to re-elect Trump if a perfect storm arises.

If Trump somehow gets the wind at his back, investigations aside, trust that MAGAvangelicals will all promptly get in line to support him as their God’s chosen one.
