Japan Approves Biggest Military Buildup Since WWII Against China - China Uncensored

Japan is building up its military capabilities in a big way, and that's largely because of the threat emanating from its western neighbor—no not Russia or North Korea—China. In this episode of China Uncensored, we discuss how controversial a move this is for Japan, how Japan's military buildup is also more widely accepted than it used to be, and the challenges Japan faces in building up its military.

While Russia and China have both been expansionist, China's focus seems to be to the east, either wooing Taiwan back or fighting a war which they now know they have a good chance of losing. Russia, however, is holding onto some barely inhabited islands that were once Japanese and which Japan wants returned, and N. Korea has been shooting firecrackers (so far) in Japan's direction.

In the meantime, China might be smelling some blood in the water, but it's not Japanese, it's Russian, and the east is now vulnerable since Russia has stupidly squandered its military on an attempted imperial land grab in Ukraine.

It will be interesting to watch, although I hope it doesn't happen. China and Russia have nukes and I don't think they'd hesitate to use them on each other.
