As always, he's right on message. Corporations are tyrannies, and the main organizational units of our times. Nation-states are quaint, anachronistic, and, for the most part, simply enforcers of corporate power.
Multinational corporations are the most visible manifestation of the global scale of modern capital, which transcends anything national. Labour, on the other hand, is mainly restricted within the boundaries of the fiefdom where it happens to have been born. In particular, most poor people in this world are fenced into the bantustans that we call "third world countries".
To get out of this mess, we need two things.
1. People need to gain control of their own national governments -- by actively participating at the local level. For example, organize meetings of the community, where policitians at all levels (municipal, state, national) that are supposed to represent people of the area are called to account for their actions. Make them truly responsible to the people of their community, not just their parties.
2. Truly international labour organizations. These are needed to offset the awesome power that the international capital organizations have over international agreements ("free trade" agreements and the like).
When organizing the second, though, its wise to avoid using words and phrases like "comrade", "petty bourgeoisie", and so on ...
