(24,787 posts)I've used some of those same verbal gambits. And I will bet all of the service folks were probably thinking exactly how this guy switches gears....... but always managed to keep the discourse civil. I recognize the stress that instore employees must have with anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers/other ignorant assholes. I wear my mask and thank them. Just the way I would want to be treated/
An interesting customer service call for me today. I ordered a set of truck racks today from Lowe's. They had 1 set in stock in Bangor, ME - scheduled for delivery. When I saw the freight charge it was $80.00. Phone call needed. Easy to talk with a human CS rep. And I had an excellent dialogue with the person who picked up. He resolved the open issues in 2 minutes and asked if I'd take a poll, Sure! Gave him a 10 and left a vocal recording on how well the problem was resolved and was delighted with the interaction.
And changed to instore pick-up (35 mile trip, 1 way).....bonus, I am 5 minutes away from son's place. Sweet.
