6. Eighteen years! DU is my touchpoint.

This is the first and last place I check every day for news, updates, etc. (I usually have a screen open all day on my work computer). When my kids were younger and we were puzzled with a homework question or writing prompt (history, politics, civil rights, etc.) or looking for other opinions, I would say "Let's ask your 100k aunts and uncles". When I've been frustrated with the political situation, when I've needed a push to get me out of my comfort zone in supporting candidates, when I needed emotional support through my cancer treatment, DU has been there. When my kids were in high school and they were under lockdown/evac due to a bomb threat, I learned about it first on DU before the school notified me or kids were able to text.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that DU is my online family!

DU is a great place in this world of craziness. Thank you all for being here!
