(Gray News) – Apparently, nearly the entire U.S. is obsessed with “Christmas Vacation.”

It is the most popular Christmas movie in 40 states, according to a new study from Wishlisted.

For the results, Wishlisted ran the top 25 films from IMDb’s Top 100 Christmas movies of all-time list through every state on Google Trends.

In fact, “Christmas Vacation” is so popular that only four places in the country didn’t have it in their top five favorite Christmas movies – Georgia, North Dakota, South Dakota and Puerto Rico.

I'm a little surprised that "A Christmas Story" wasn't any state's favorite.

"Love, Actually" is my favorite Christmas movie of all time. "Gremlins" and "A Pocketful of Miracles" are also top-notch.

I've never seen "A Pocketful of Miracles", but I agree "Gremlins" is top notch. If nothing else, it has a young Phoebe Cates going for it.

along with:
A Christmas Story
Nightmare Before Christmas (reprise after our annual Halloween viewing)
Christmas in the Clouds
March of the Wooden Soldiers (Laurel and Hardy) this was a huge tradition in my family for years; one of the Nashville TV stations must have owned a copy because they showed it quite randomly all through the Christmas season. Now I have a DVD and sent one to each of my sisters.

I listed some of our watch every year Christmas movies in another post

However I totally forgot about "The Snowman". It's a short film and it is beautiful with some exquisite music.

Now I have to watch "Love Actually" has been a long time since we have seen it.

It's hilarious that the favorite in Arkansas is Die Hard!!!

Anything besides "A Christmas Carol" aka "Scrooge" with Alistair Sim in the lead role comes up short, in my humble opinion.

This part of NJ is my house.

I know, I know, I know, Kevin Spacey...but he was a very good actor in this movie, and Dennis Leary and Judie Davis are great as well.
