OK - who wants a big, big bed?

Talking to my daughter today and she says that she wants a bed bigger than her current king size because of critter issues.

She asked me if I had ever heard of an Alaskan king? Nope California is about the only odd bed I have heard of. So, while we are on the phone, I have the internet up and I look up an Alaskan king.

A regular king is 76" X 80". An Alaskan King is 108" (that's 9 freaking feet wide) by 108" (also a full 9 feet)

BUT that wasn't the biggest of the big beds. Ever heard of a Family XL bed? 144" (12 freaking feet) by 84" (a mere 7 feet long)
Not sure if it come with a kitchen or a bathroom.

Holy Crap!
There are some other sizes - but wow!

My bed is pretty large, haven't measured in 6+ years but seems to be made from 2 'large' mattresses together.
