our trip from e. Washington to Grandma's on Olympic Peninsula yesterday due to weather and road concerns.

Really shitty because Grandma is likely in her final decline and we really need to be there for/with her!

Hope we will be able to get there next week.

There is a way to sign of for updates sent via text from DOT website. I am a bit north of Spokane and FYI snowing now.

12. Actually, I work in Tacoma, Washington. I don't know anything about Penn-DOT.

I live in a small town called Puyallup, about a twenty minute drive from Tacoma. Luckily, I've never needed studded tires. They must be a pain to install and change every year.

13. Sorry. I used them one year for a 10 mile drive to my job. I used to put the car in neutral going

down hill. Studded tires were great, but having an ice strorm was so rare, it became a pain because they can only be used from Nov. to April. Glad you made it safely to work and be safe on the way home.
