Some ahole dropped her off here in the sticks.
We feed her when she comes around, as do neighbors.
Went outside to start car, there she was in this horrible cold, -30 wind chill with frozen snow covering her head, sneezing.
She is warm and comfy in my room now, a welcome guest.
Purrs like a sewing machine when held.
She looks part Bombay, tiny thing.

(3,432 posts)place for this sweet baby. Hope you can find help to get her spayed and rehomed. I especially feel bad for female ferals in winter; they are constantly bred over and over with most kits not surviving during cold weather. Bless you for giving her shelter and some love. Those eyes really get to me, she looks so thankful to be out of the hellish cold and safe from toms and predators.

(206,743 posts)Who I am missing terribly, lost him earlier this month.
Kudos for rescuing this beautiful cat! I found my Felix as a kitten in a supermarket parking lot one night on my way home. *sigh*

(2,967 posts)I lost my old girl back in the summer. She was fifteen. I found my young cat in a supermarket parking lot last year. Both black.

(206,743 posts)It just happened a little over two weeks ago and it's tough to get used to - I keep expecting to see him in all his favorite spots.
And of the four cats I have had in my life, three have been black. I didn't choose them intentionally, they seem to have found me - so I have come to love black cats the best. Kudos to you for rescuing your young cat - all I could tell about Felix was that he was eyes in the dark, but I sure couldn't leave him there. My vet said he was about 7 weeks and he grew up to be a beautiful cat - and was with me ever since.

(2,967 posts)was 4 months old, the vet thought. He was under a car in the parking lot meowing his heart out. I heard him as soon as I got out of my car and set out to find him. One of the bag boys was looking for him, too. When we located him, I called him and he came right to me. I started to get the guy to keep track of him until I could go home and bring back my cat carrier, then I just decided not to take a chance on him disappearing and drove home with him in my lap. They all take a little piece of your heart, don't they?

(206,743 posts)I lost my 16-year-old dog who I'd had since he was a puppy back in June, but I still had Felix. And now I lost him, too. It's been a long time since I have been without a pet and it's very lonely. That's one thing about a pet, they're always with you. And I do hope that you keep and love that beautiful cat, I'd take her in a heartbeat.

(19,662 posts)Gets fed whenever she shows up.
This is her first time inside, though
We already have one cat in here, which is max by the rules.
There was an exception made under the current horrible conditions by the 80 year old head honcho, who is a cat lover
Rhiannon12866
(206,743 posts)I don't know what would have happened to Felix if I hadn't spotted him. Most places allow cats, but not dogs. My two friends who rent, one has two cats and the other has three. And if you can't adopt her, I'm sure that someone else would love to - I sure would. She's one beautiful cat.

(206,743 posts)When I first brought Felix home he was a bitey little thing and he was a kitten. And I couldn't catch him alone, I had help from a guy who worked in the store and his wife who came to pick him up, they were good at it and determined. Does she have a name? She was very fortunate to have found you...

(206,743 posts)It took me ages to come up with Felix - but he did know his name. My dog Sara was found as a stray and the name she'd been given obviously meant nothing to her, so I kept trying names until one resonated with her and that was Sara. Though I'm not sure if that works with cats. Maybe a Christmas name like Noelle?

She woke me up she was doing the kneading bread thing and making noises of happy gratitude on the shirt she is sleeping on.
Back to sleep now!
