Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWhat is your favourite non domestic animal? I like frogs. They remind me of the joy of my childhood.
They metamorphosize. They hop. They swim and they are cute. I once worked in a gift shop that had a huge inventory of frog themed things. I so wanted to redo their display window on a busy yuppy street with all their various frog products under a big sign that said "We Have Frogs". But I got shot down.

(50,566 posts)They're playful and smart, and there's something just comically adorable about them.
Otters are second in cuteness only to kitties, in my estimation.

(50,566 posts)I guess that's not uncommon for otters to do that, so they can sleep without drifting away from each other.

But my current residence is nearly overrun with these bunnies that burrow under my raised patio and scamper across the yard each morning and evening. I have a feeling I'm going to be wishing for some population control, eventually, but I look at it as having all the luck of a rabbit's foot X 4 for each of these funny little guys outside my door.
They've gotten used to the humans and dogs in the neighborhood and no longer flee--at least not very far when you walk by.

(30,947 posts)At one time, I had 2 boa constrictors as pets. They are great as pets. They don't bark, pee or shit on your carpet. And don't bite unless they mistake your hand for a mouse or a rat, which happened to me a few times. Finally, I had to get rid of them when they grew to 7 feet long. I donated them to the Miami-Dade Community College hands-on program for kids.

(8,492 posts)I hate snow and dragons can melt it faster than salt. If there's no snow, they can make Crispy Republican snacks in a jiffy! Another great benefit is traffic. They can fly you to work, or...just get rid of it.
The problem is, those damned knights killed most of them.

(854 posts)i had desert tortises as pets as a child. Fred used to knock on the back door, and go to the fridge for his food. He was an indoor, and outdoor pet. I loved Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles.

(12,496 posts)i like all of them. I suppose my favorites are tigers.
I also like dogs, rabbits, ferrets, little mammals, big mammals, birds, elephants, rhinos, bears, deer, racoons, possums, kangaroos, wallabies, squirrels, chipmunks, toads, pretty much all animals.
I hate bugs. If it crawls, I hate it. Insects, annelids, nematodes, ugh. Anything that is disgusting. Entomophobic all the way. I confess I even find butterflies and dragonflies a little offputting.
