And also the ability to say stuff like-
"Wow! That looks kinda bad!"
"How did that happen?"

I'm good at the application of the Ice Cream Treatment (used on my sons when they were little).

"Tonto! Ride into town and get the doctor!"

"Yes Kemosabi." Tonto rode as fast as he could and got to the doctor. "Lone Ranger bit on tallywhacker by rattlesnake. Want know what to do."

"Tonto, the only way to save him is to get right back there and suck out all of the venom and spit it away. You must get all of it."

"Tonto understand." He rode back as quickly as he could and jumped off of his horse.

"What did the doctor say, Tonto?"

"Doctor say you gonna die."

Wound exudate is assessed for amount, type, color and odor. Exudate may be serous, sero-sanguineous, sanguineous or purulent. Exudate consists of the exuding wound fluid, serum or blood and the by-products of topical dressings and treatments. Exudate may be thin or thick and take on various colors. Exudate odor may reflect underlying infection or be the by-product of the dressing or action of the dressing/treatment.

I see the doctor again on Wed.

I just have no point of reference as to what granulation healing is supposed to feel/look like.

And I am too freaked out to look at it with my glasses on. My exudate is minimal, and not odorous.

11. I have googled, most of the literature relates to diabetic foot ulcers...

Slow healing wounds usually happen in the elderly, people with poor circulation, or diabetes. I figure the part of my wound that is healing by secondary intention (granulation) has more in common with motorcycle road rash, than ulcers. I had some very badly skinned knees and knuckles from flipping over on a slow moving moped, but as deep as that was, Io doubt it was full thickness. I am probably just being a hypochondriac. I have been taking a multivitamin and attempting to eat more protein. Elevating my leg like crazy, and laying around more often than not. just saw a referenct women with slow healing wounds being zinc deficient

now it is a little more flexible, but you are pushing the boundary with the potential seriousness of your situation. Please have it looked at by a PROFESSIONAL! - ASAP if you are in any doubt about your condition.

even if a professional was available to talk to you here they would still need to SEE it in PERSON. Go to the hospital or call your doctor. Please.
