If it's not one thing it's another

Today Our Dog Rocky had a spill and broke his leg. We were at the vet momentarily. A few hours and $477 later we have a dog with a full leg cast on his hind right leg. We need to take him back every week for a month. The rechecks a free unless they have to reset it ... which would be around $80.

He is fine now - which is the important thing - and trying to come to terms with the conical collar around his neck. He is getting around like a pro. Like a pro with 3 legs and a fence post, that is.

And this can't be easy on you, either! He must be a pretty amazing dog to deal with it as he has. My dog had to wear the dreaded collar only once, back when he was neutered, and he couldn't deal with it. We had to watch him like a hawk or crate him, poor little guy. Sending healing thoughts for Rocky, hope he feels better soon - and supportive ones to you...
