RUNAWAY BULL TERRORIZES QUEENS FOR HOURS

THrillist:

A runaway bull who escaped a slaughterhouse at 10 a.m. this morning was apprehended and killed by police this afternoon following a dramatic chase through Queens. And no, it wasn't Kevin James.

New Yorkers and Twitter on-lookers alike were stunned by the strange, but not entirely unheard-of statistical anomaly. "We were on our way to a funeral and just as I got in the car, we saw police. I said, 'Oh shit, there's a bull!'" Dorothy Bailey, 68, told DNAInfo.

The boys in blue had some difficulty apprehending the bull, which led them on a dramatic chase along the streets of Jamaica, Queens. It trotted along streets, between cars, and into playgrounds and backyards with a dogged determination to evade its pursuers. (It is actually the third time in 14 months that this has happened, following the sagas of Freddie in January 2016 and Frank in April 2016.

I do not understand why they just did not shoot it tight off the bat. I know to some I sound horrible but if they had caught it where do you think it would have gone? Right back to the slaughter house. The poor bull was terrified and they could have just put it our of it's misery and prevented the possibility of someone getting hurt or property damaged. I am surprised someone from the slaughter house was not there. Usually even slaughter houses who use other methods do have guns for emergency.

What the heck is in her purse? The key to Buckingham Place? She has ladies in waiting to hand her a kleenex if she needs one.

And, if you remember, that bull ended up in some kind of petting zoo. And was featured in a public service announcement... wish this one did.

suspect it was a steer.

No self respecting cattle owner I know would have allowed a bull calf to get that large without removing some important parts.
